As a person who wears mostly black and prefers to use mostly pure, saturated jewel hues in her paintings...when candy colors like lavender or pastel pink show up on my pallette I can't help but feel that something is terribly wrong, that I've taken a wrong turn in life, or that I'm somehow being punished for something.
